the right thing, at the wrong time...is still the wrong thing. not only must i work on the motivation behind my actions, i need to work on the timing of it as well. too much haste, it may cause hurt. too slow, a blessed opportunity forgone.
when God asks us to do something, and we put it off till later...it's a sin. delayed obedience...is disobedience. i must learn and discern between Godly timing and manly timing. inactivity may sometimes be the best activity.
alas, i must wait. 730.
Belated in action Retarded in thought Self-seeking means Were all that I sought
I thought I could do it All on my own Have the cake and eat it But then I was shown
Sometimes it's better To not eat at all Counting the cost As my frozen heart thaws
Still a long ways From attaining that joy One day I'll grow up No longer a boy
I'm learning to breathe A breath that's anew No more wrong-doing No viewpoints skewed
Though belated in action Still retarded in thought But am becoming the man His atoning blood bought
