So the summer's coming to a close and I've nothing to show for it except a handful of distance ed. assignments, the ability to sit in one spot for numerous hours, a new softball jersey and a well toned 'n defined muscular figure in my abdominal region (har har har, this is where you're suppose to "LOL"). Hard to believe eh? =)

Isn't it funny that when we have the most time we tend to waste it the most too? Well, this holds true for me anyways. Break time is the most dangerous time. Too easily do we become ensnared in the nothing-ness of it all and just vegetate. Some of you may not think so, and that's pretty chilling with me too. I wish I could be the same. Unfortunately far too often I have just become demotivated and dis-passionate about life. Sometimes the FoodNetwork combined with Rinoa is just not enough to make me wanna get off the couch.

Ok, so kids...here's the moral of the story....I forgot....
Oh wait, I remember again.

1) Don't sit around all day and be a flippin' loser watching re-runs of cooking shows
2) Try to have conversations with people besides CG ones.
And finally...
3) If it's yellow, let it mellow...if it's brown, flush it down!

DE final exam next weekend, goin' on a tour with grandparents aug 9th-14th, heading back to school sept 13th...date with Rinoa...every night!

Ok, I'll stop here before I type somethin' that'll incriminate me.
What the heck, let's just bring out the big guns...this is courtesy of Kwan Chan. I'm only posting this up for good ol' fun...none of the one-liners are the reflection of my personal opinions...seriously!

How many men does it take to open a beer?
None. It should be opened when she brings it.

Why do women have smaller feet than men?
It's one of those "evolutionary things" that allows them to stand closer to the kitchen sink

How do you know when a woman is about to say something smart?
When she starts a sentence with "A man once told me.."

How do you fix a woman's watch?
You don't. There is a clock on the oven

Why do men pass gas more than women?
Because women can't shut up long enough to build up the required pressure

If your dog is barking at the back door and your wife is yelling at the front door, who do you let in first?
The dog, of course. He'll shut up once you let him in.

Scientists have discovered a food that diminishes a woman's sex drive by 90%
It's called a Wedding Cake.

In the beginning, God created the earth and rested.
Then God created Man and rested.
Then God created Woman.
Since then, neither God nor Man has rested.

Why does Rinoa need to be so ridiculously good looking?

Yesterday was the most amazin' day for a softball game. The air was brisk, ground was slightly moist and the sun was beaming down in its radiance. All we were missing was a giant bucket of KFC.
Anyways, in my 6 years of playing softball...last night was probably the best game I've had and will ever have. It was just such an enjoyable game that even though we lost, I had a ridiculous amount of fun.

So spiritually I think I'm starting to plateau upwards now...or that's the plan at least. For some odd reason, the game we had last night really gave me a desire to press forward for something better and greater.

"It`ll be sweet like raisins, kissed by the suns rays
When we praise the raised Son all because the Son raised"
[The Cross Movement]

Cool lyrics eh? It would've been fun if we could've analyzed stuff like this in Engrish class instead of Shakespeare...

So the past few weeks, I've still been thinkin' about the June 15 post.
Still questioning and doubting and disbelieving.

Whatever. Whenever. Wherever.
All these words have two words in one and has no relation to the thoughts above.

Something that I really needed to hear...

"In times of desolation we must never make a change, but stand firm and constant in the resolutions and determination in which we were the day before the desolation, or in the time of the preceding consolation."

Ignatius

Was talking to a buddy of mine from CCC and I was just telling him about my spiritual dryness and he gave me this quote. It's starting to spark something back inside me to push onwards...but I don't know how long it'll last.

We may live without poetry, music, and art;
We may live without conscience, and live without heart;
We may live without homes; we may live without books;
But civilised man cannot live without cooks.

He may live without books - what is knowledge but grieving?
He may live without hope - what is hope but deceiving?
He may live without love - what is passion but pining?
But where is the man that can live without dining?

Sometimes tis' easier to express your feelings and experiences through a song rather than with spoken plain words.

Rescue Me
[Planetshakers]

When I’m alone, the world is such a different place.
Sometimes it’s hard to keep the smile upon my face.
It seems like I try so hard, and still I let You down.
It’s taken so long, but now there’s one thing that I’ve found:

When everything starts crashing down,
When all I know falls to the ground,
When darkness comes and I can’t see,
You’re always there to rescue me.

Just when I think that I have got it figured out,
You open my eyes and let me see that there’s no doubt
That You’ve got it all within the power of Your hand.
It seems like the more I know, the less I understand.

When all my strength has turned to fear,
When I wonder if You’re near,
When I don’t know how to break free,
You’re always there to rescue me.

I wonder if I’ll make it through this darkest night.
I need to know Your strength in me; gonna win this fight.
I’m reaching out. Won’t You take my hand, show me to the light?
I know You’re by my side.

It seems like I try so hard, and still I let You down.
It’s taken so long, but now there’s one thing that I’ve found
